Welcome
My name is Amy Loschak. I am a mathematics professor at Broward College. My career as an educator began in 1983 when I became a high school mathematics teacher in a Broward County School. Two years later, I applied my knowledge of mathematics, statistical analysis, and logical thinking to the field of actuarial science. During this time, I was studying for actuarial exams. My on the job study time, was dedicated to helping my coworkers learn. I always felt compelled to help others understand the concepts. It became apparent to me that my true passion was teaching.
I began teaching at Broward College in 1988 as an adjunct professor. At that time I was a fulltime mother. When my children were grown I began working as a fulltime instructor. I have taught on the north campus, central campus, and the virtual campus. I teach a variety of mathematics courses.
